Brazilian, born in São Paulo, 1973, Fabiano Al Makul is a photographer. He began his career in 2013 with the individual show Elementos em Cor, in São Paulo, where he lives and works. Through photography he portrays his fascination with colors and elements, in simple scenes or even in a broader spectrum. In the same year he was featured at the Mail Art Cupcake, held at MuBe in São Paulo, with the artwork Dona Tereza da Mangueira, connecting his art to one of his great passions, the traditional samba soul. In 2015, he performs solo in São Paulo, A Riqueza da Vida Simples, and in Belo Horizonte, Outros Olhos pra Ver, a summary of his work. He seeks to express, in a poetic context, the subtlety of the detail of a scene, which would normally go unnoticed. He expresses his soul in scenes of the quotidian, rich in shadow and light, as well as the harmony of the colors, that connect different situations, through polyptychs. Throughout his career, he has been characterized by a non-systematic research, giving the sensation of choosing subjects at random, portraying scenes that remind him of nostalgia, a song, a memory, in the end, the emotion of looking at the poetry of a small gesture. His most recent work, Caderno de Anotações, was exhibited at Cassia Bomeny Galeria, in September 2016.
