Maria-Carmen Perlingeiro (Rio de Janeiro RJ 1952) is a sculptor, designer and multimedia artist. In 1971, she studied at the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (EBA / UFRJ). Two years later, she attended the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Geneva, Switzerland. She taught screen printing with Dionisio del Santo (1925 – 1999) at the Visual Arts School at Parque Lage (EAV) in Rio de Janeiro in 1977, and in 1990 at the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, in Geneva. She exhibited in the 13th International Biennial of São Paulo in 1975 and its following edition, in 1977.
She attends classes at the Pratt Institute, in New York in 1982, and the following year, at the Art Students League. In 2001, she participated in the exhibition The Spirit of Our Time, at the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (MAM / SP) and in 2005, in the 2nd Symposium of Sculpture in Volterra, Italy. In Rio de Janeiro, she held solo shows at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM / RJ), in 1982, at Paço Imperial, in 2006, and at the Museu da Chácara do Céu in 2007. Since 2000 she has developes artistic projects in Switzerland.
